Matt Henry, 'The Under Dawg,' was born on March 11, 1993 in Southern California. He grew up in a strict religious military family. Being in a Marine family, Matt moved around often, staying in one place no longer than three years. Spending most of his life in southern California, he also spent 5 years living in China. Matt's parents home-schooled him throughout most of his childhood and was brought up in a very tightly gated environment.
He was a small child, and never really had any friends as he was a very socially awkward child and found it difficult fitting in as he moved around so frequently. After moving to a large city, his life started spiraling out of control as he was introduced to drugs, alcohol, and street night-life. All of his bitterness and anger from his life finally burst and his life was exponentially going downhill. He was very close to taking his life when he met a rapper, 'Ewai,' who not only helped him get his life back together, but introduced him to the world of hip hop music.
Matt immediately saw his great potential as a rapper and quickly shocked everyone by his lyrical skills and bringing back to a new life his previous musical talent. Struggling through high school, he finally left his family and moved to a small town in Virginia to live with relatives until graduation. He is now currently working on writing and producing music that he hopes will soon reach the world. His voice is full of pain and his lyrics are full of heart-wrenching lessons and stories he has learned and been in throughout his life.
